by Doris Cáceres-SchumickBecause I don't want to monopolize these blogs, I am reminding all KWC writers AND opening the opportunity to all previous blog readers who have commented on our previous blog posts, the chance to become published on this Blog. Writing submissions will be on a first come, first serve basis. Interested? If so, below are the submission guidelines. Your submission must include the following:
Have questions beforehand. Email me at [email protected]. Writing submissions are due by 11:59pm, Friday, August 26th, 2022, to [email protected]. Type BLOG POST SUBMISSION in the subject line of your email. Not exactly sure what a blog is? Then, click on "Read More" (below) to learn what a blog is. You can also click on any of this site's Archive's months to the right of this column to see the previous ones. You'll need to scroll up. Originally created from the words Web + Log, a blog is an online journal or informational website or webpage containing one person's ideas, thoughts, reflections, experiences, and more. A blog includes comments, sometimes hyperlinks, photographs, and/or videos provided by the blogger. Information is displayed in reverse chronological order, with the most recent appearing at the very top of the list. Bloggers are people who own and create the blogs. They are open to sharing information on just one area (ex. food, parenting, photography, etc.) or various areas (more general, like the ones in this website). In addition, bloggers encourage readers to express their opinions on their blog posts with a comments section. This gives readers the opportunity to add their thoughts, share in the conversation, or just provide feedback about the blog post. Proper etiquette involves responding to comments related to your blog. Blogging is the act involved of writing a blog. This entails many skills such as formatting/structuring the blog page, writing content, using the writing process, hyperlinking, adding photos, and monitoring and replying to comments. It involves consistency and commitment. It's a great way to connect with other people! Was this "What Is a Blog?" content helpful? If so, I'd love to hear your comments below.

If you want to write something but are hesitant because you don't know how it will be received, you can always use a pseudonym. It might allow you to share your writing without feeling exposed or vulnerable. Remember, in all situations there are chances some will love what you have to say and some will not. That's life!

Sandy, what a brilliant suggestion to use a pseudonym instead of your real name if you’d prefer to maintain anonymity. And, c’est la vie, indeed! Comments are closed.
